Loan modification 9 negotiating tips

To fight for your loan modification approval you need good negotiating skills

Negotiating over the phone – especially with a huge corporation – is completely new to borrowers.

Every time you pick up the phone you are talking with someone different from the customer service reps, to the loss mitigation officer and the assigned negotiator. You need to communicate effectively when talking with these key people at the loan servicing company.

Borrowers constantly ask loan modification expert, Mike Rockwood, and author of the loan modification kit I recommend, for help on how to talk to all these people over the phone to get them to move the review process along to approve their loan modification application sooner rather than later.

In this Q&A coaching segment Mike, along with his son and business partner, gives nine tips on effective negotiating.

I recommend you take out a piece of paper and a pencil to take good notes.

When do you send a QWR..,at the very start of a loan mod request, or
    when? Thanks for your help.
    cheers,

Yes, start your loan modification request by sending a QWR. You want to keep a paper trail of all your communication with the lender/service. Also the QWR can be used to initiate an administrative default against the lender/service – when they fail to send you the documentation you requested to prove they have ‘legal standing’ to keep getting your payments, negotiate any agreement or foreclose on your home. This will give you legal leverage to negotiate from the driver’s seat.

Yes, send out the QWR right away along with the VOD and get your loan docs together to get a forensic audit done. My free report has details and sample letters.
